Hyde Park and Kensington

The trip to London was about 11 hours and I was lucky enough to be able to go with my mom. We flew Virgin Atlantic and that was beginning of our experience with the Richard Branson empire. All the stewards were beautiful women with British accents and we enjoyed watching the 100 movie and television channels that were provided for us through an OnDemand type program. I have to admit, although I enjoyed the mod fabric that I sat on and the club like blue lights that lit the bathrooms, the seats were just as small and uncomfortable as airlines that are less trendy.

After landing and checking into our hotel we walked over to Hyde Park and visited Kensington Palace. The palace was housing an exhibit with dresses, photos and film footage of Princess Diana.

When we were walking through the park the first person we saw was an older English man seated at one of the benches who looked up at us and then told us to watch as he hand-fed a squirrel. You know the expression, "Toto, we're not in Kansas anymore"...?
